From March 12, 2025, Abbey Field Medical Centre will be appointed the caretaker of The Tollgate Practice. This is because the partners at Tollgate have announced their intention to withdraw from the practice and to hand their contract back to the NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB), the organisation which manages GP contracts.
Abbey Field Medical Centre will be providing primary care services at the practice for a period of 1 to 2 years. The ICB will then work to identify a provider to deliver services over the longer-term.
Patients registered with the practice should not see any change or difference in the way services are accessed during the interim arrangement. You should continue to access the practice in the usual way.
